Q. Will my health insurance
pay for my breast prosthesis?
A. Yes, most insurance companies
pay 80% for the Radiant Impressions prosthesis. Some companies are more difficult
than others. We are currently in negotiation with them. For more specific
updates, please call our office. The amount paid by insurance is always subject
to individual plans as well as deductible and co-pay amounts.
Medicare
The non-custom is easily billed and paid for. The custom
is currently not paid for by Medicare, but we are working on changing the system
and are very hopeful this will be accomplished in the near future.
