Prosthetic Illusions (PI), also known as Rocky Mountain Anaplastology, Inc. (RMA), has been providing services to the Rocky Mountain area since 1981. It was founded by Barbara Spohn-Lillo, a Board Certified Anaplastologist, Ocularist. The primary focus of an ocularist is creating artificial eyes, whereas an anaplastologist has further training in the art and science of restoring other malformed or absent parts of the human body through artificial means. The skills required are not simply a matter of technique, but a combination of art, technology, creativity, and attention to detail.

Prosthetic Illusions specializes in custom-made artificial eyes, shell eyes, non-surgical socket expanders, fittings over porous implants, facial prosthetics - including bone-anchored external prostheses, digits, new innovations in silicone, and implantable materials. PI (RMA) is registered with the FDA.

In addition, Prosthetic Illusions offers a service focusing on women who have survived breast cancer. For those women needing external breast prostheses, PI has partnered with Radiant Impressions™ by Trulife to offer both non-custom and custom breast prostheses that are lightweight, flexible, remarkably realistic, and affordable. Both Prosthetic Illusions and Radiant Impressions™ are committed to making sure all women have access to this product.

PI has developed a reputation with both physicians and patients for high quality and excellent service. The primary goal is to satisfy the patient. This is achieved by working closely as a team with the patient's doctor.

Most insurance companies cover the services offered by PI; however, when patient payment is required, Visa, MasterCard and/or payments can be arranged. Co-pays may be required initially, and our office will file all insurance claims. Initial consultations are always free of charge.
