If you've ever shopped for a non-custom breast prosthesis, you are aware that most of them are made of a silicone gel that is encapsulated in polyurethane. Some of the disadvantages of this type of construction are that the outer material does not breathe, and actually generates too much heat against the body; it is also fragile, and can easily be punctured or torn, leading to the silicone gel leaking. This makes the prosthesis unusable. Another disadvantage is the need for expensive mastectomy bras. Our product feels like a real breast, yet is made from a solid but soft silicone foam that is safe enough to wear directly against the skin, allowing the patient to purchase "normal" bras and swimsuits. It does not generate as much heat, and if damaged, is still very usable

How to get the product...
While we recommend an in-person consultation and fitting, there are times when this may be extremely inconvenient. For those patients, we will do our best to work with you over the phone. For us to work with your insurance, we will need to either mail or fax you some forms that must be completed before an authorization is obtained, or you can download those forms from this site, and mail or fax them back to us. If you are scheduling an appointment with us and would like to speed up the process, you can also send these forms ahead of time.(see below for online forms)
